Our Design Process
At CMST, the creation of custom forged wheels is an artform—a blend of aesthetics and precision engineering. We take pride in detailing the multi-step process that ensures every set of wheels we produce meets the highest standards of beauty and performance.
Design and Engineering
The journey begins with an initial stage of 3D modeling and engineering analysis. This crucial phase ensures that our wheels are not only visually striking but also structurally sound and perfectly compatible with specific vehicle models.
Material Selection
We choose only the finest materials for our wheels. High-strength aluminum alloys, particularly 6061-T6, are selected for their outstanding strength-to-weight ratio and superior corrosion resistance—qualities essential for premium wheel manufacturing.
Forging Process
The selected aluminum alloy is heated and pressed under extreme pressure to forge the rough shape of the wheel. This process realigns the metal's grain structure, substantially enhancing its strength and durability.
Machining
Post-forging, each wheel is precisely machined using advanced CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology. This step ensures that every dimension and tolerance is flawlessly executed to match exact specifications.
Finishing
Our commitment to excellence extends to the final finishing touches. Whether it involves polishing, painting, or powder coating, every wheel undergoes a rigorous inspection to guarantee that it not only meets but exceeds the quality expectations that our customers have come to expect from CMST.
